Under general supervision, analyzes and evaluates major organizational activities/problems/needs and prepares required quality assurance artifacts (test cases, suites, test data) to complete quality assurance process for the proposed solutions. Certifies the proposed solutions by performing appropriate type of testing (functional, security, data validation, regression, white/black box) that takes into account hardware, software or system functional specifications provided by end-users /stakeholders. #Associate degree and three years relevant experience or equivalent.

Under minimal supervision, works within a standards-based collaborative team environment to contribute code, provide technical support and development expertise to various development projects and applications. Prepares diagrams and application specifications to describe and document proposed system. Works with programmers/developers to coordinate development & delivery of systems. Under close supervision, determines technology requirements and provides software development support to a research project. Participates as part of a research team in the design and implementation of applications, networks, and/or hardware with discipline specific focus. Creates and modifies documents, codes, develops graphics, and optimizes images for design changes, and makes updates to support applications' user interface, network, and/or hardware use. Tests, troubleshoots, and performs technical work required to implement solutions. Provides maintenance updates, user support, security protocols, and reports. Monitors, plans, and coordinates installs and maintains clients, servers, tables, databases and views. Installs server and database patches and upgrades as needed. Produces and maintains documentation on database structure, procedures and data standards. Performs backup planning, testing of recovery procedures and cloning of databases. Performs database tuning, space management, and network administration. Creates and manages indexes and reviews and optimizes SQL code as required. Audits current database structure to ensure end user permissions adhere to the principle of least access; creates and maintains users and roles. Develops, improves and implements a variety of laboratory techniques and performs complex laboratory procedures to contribute to the timely completion and success of sponsored research projects.
