Job Description and Minimum Qualifications:

Monitors, plans, and coordinates installs and maintains clients, servers, tables, databases and views. Installs server and database patches and upgrades as needed. Produces and maintains documentation on database structure, procedures and data standards. Performs backup planning, testing of recovery procedures and cloning of databases. Performs database tuning, space management, and network administration. Creates and manages indexes and reviews and optimizes SQL code as required. Audits current database structure to ensure end user permissions adhere to the principle of least access; creates and maintains users and roles. Classifies data and ensures required security measures are in place according to university policy. Researches, evaluates and selects database technologies to support business requirements. Holds a subject matter expertise in the field of study which the database technologies support. #High school/GED and 5 years related experience OR Associate¿s degree with 3 years related experience OR Bachelor¿s degree with 1 year of related experience OR Master¿s degree in field related to discipline.
