Immigration Fees
Below are the immigration related fees for case preparation and filing that must be paid by the hiring or employing unit at KU. For tenured, tenure-track, and teaching professor positions in CLAS, the College Dean’s office will cover all of the required immigration fees for those positions. In nearly all circumstances these fees must be paid by the employer and the costs cannot be passed on to the employee in any way (i.e. reduction in start-up funds, deduction in salary, etc.). All required USCIS fees will be paid directly to USCIS by HR along with the case filing. HR will then bill the hiring/employing unit for all required fees via a DARBI billing invoice. If a case is referred to KU’S designated outside immigration counsel for preparation, the employing/hiring unit is responsible for all of the attorney fees as well as the USCIS fees.
