Frequently Asked Questions
If you are on a probationary period at the time evaluations are launched on May 15, you will not have a fiscal year evaluation. About a month before your probationary period ends, you will receive a probation evaluation to complete.
If you are on probation at the time the fiscal year evaluations are launched (on May 15) then you will not receive a fiscal year evaluation. Instead, you will receive a probation evaluation. About a month before your probationary period ends, you will receive a probation evaluation to complete. Once your probation evaluation is completed your next evaluation will be the next year's fiscal year evaluation.
You will receive your probationary evaluation to complete about one month before your probationary end date.
If you see a Fiscal Year evaluation to complete and you have recently changed positions, you will still need to complete your Fiscal Year evaluation. Your new supervisor is to utilize the MyTalent system tool for sending the evaluation to your former supervisor to obtain feedback. If you switched roles before the Fiscal Year evaluations were launched (prior to May 15), you will receive a probationary evaluation to complete about a month before your probationary period ends and you will not have a fiscal year evaluation to complete.
Yes, please complete your evaluation. Your new supervisor can reach out to your prior supervisor to obtain feedback for the evaluation. Please keep in mind you will receive a probationary evaluation for your new role about a month before your probationary period ends.
You are encouraged to complete your evaluation even if your appointment is coming to an end. Your evaluation is part of your employment file; records are retained and can be referenced by hiring committees in future job searches for internal hires.
Please notify your supervisor and contact HR. HR can modify due dates accordingly so that your evaluation can still be completed upon your return.
HR will route your self evaluation forward to your supervisor if you do not complete the evaluation by the deadline. Your supervisor can elect to route the form back to you to obtain your self evaluation, or they may proceed with your evaluation without your comments and ratings.
If your supervisor does not complete their portion of your evaluation by the established deadline, it will remain as one of their outstanding tasks in MyTalent until it has been completed.
HR can assist in following up with your supervisor to encourage the evaluation being completed.

- Supervisors Evaluation of the employee - DUE: Aug 28th
- Employee’s Acknowledgement of the form - DUE: Aug 31st
- Supervisor’s acknowledgement - DUE: September 3rd
