Job Description and Minimum Qualifications:
Under minimal supervision, develops, modifies or implements large and complex hardware/software technologies. Creates, maintains, tests, troubleshoots and/or implements hardware, software and/or data systems solutions used in the support of research and instruction. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Uses principles, theories and concepts in the specific fields, plus, may have working knowledge of other related disciplines to provide solutions to a range of problems, and ensures solutions and/or changes are implemented. Applies experience and knowledge of scientific research or engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Plans and conducts work requiring independent judgment in the evolution, selection, and substantial adaptation and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Makes recommendations on technical problems and methods. Contributes to technical presentations and demonstrations at conferences and/or meetings. May participate in development of grant proposals and/or presentation of research findings. May participate in new external collaborative product development. May supervise analysts, developers and/or student employees. #High school/GED and 4 years related experience OR Associate¿s degree with 3 years related experience OR Bachelor¿s degree with 1 year of related experience OR Master¿s degree in field related to discipline.
