Implements communications strategies and tactics for the university overall at the direction of respective director, overseeing creative teams and/or field-specific teams such as interactive media, digital media, account management and editorial. Perform police investigations that serve the University of Kansas community. Regularly conduct criminal investigations and present criminal cases to prosecutors for prosecution into district and municipal courts. Write and execute search warrants, conduct surveillance, process evidence, extract digital evidence from devices, and perform other forensic analysis. Maintain and control evidence. High school diploma or GED equivalency and a minimum of two years of commissioned law enforcement experience within six months of appointment date. Manage the Safety & Security Operations Unit. Direct and supervise the Security Officers and student security officers in the performance of their duties for the University of Kansas. Must be prepared to manage security for Kansas Athletics, Spencer Museum of Art, and academic buildings on the Lawrence and Edward¿s campuses including monitoring CCTV systems.
