Tunes, maintains, repairs, and moves/places KU pianos. Consults with faculty, staff, students, and the public regarding piano usage. May participate in outreach activities. Certification as a registered Piano Technician (Piano Technician Guild) or the equivalent; or, 4 years of experience in piano tuning, and/or relevant education.

Under close supervision, determines technology requirements and provides software development support to a research project. Participates as part of a research team in the design and implementation of applications, networks, and/or hardware with discipline specific focus. Creates and modifies documents, codes, develops graphics, and optimizes images for design changes, and makes updates to support applications' user interface, network, and/or hardware use. Tests, troubleshoots, and performs technical work required to implement solutions. Provides maintenance updates, user support, security protocols, and reports. Documents and reviews technology performance. #High school/GED and 2 years related experience OR Associate¿s degree and 1 year related experience OR Bachelor¿s degree in field related to discipline.

Under direct supervision, monitors, troubleshoots and tests IT systems. Provides highly technical skills in the installation, repairand maintenance of all systems in operation and participates inthe implementation of new systems and upgrades. High School Diploma/ GED and four years of relevant professional experience or an Associate’s degree and two years of relevant professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree.

Under general direction works in data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. Responsible for developing data warehousing blueprint, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems. Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions for client. Defines, designs and builds dimensional database schemas. Evaluates reusability of current data for separate analyses. Conducts data sheering to rid the system of old, unused or duplicate data. Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access. Bachelor¿s degree and six years of relevant professional experience or a Master¿s degree and four years of relevant professional experience.

Under general direction, audits the most complex new and existing information systems applications to ensure that appropriate controls exist, that processing is efficient and accurate, and that information systems procedures are incompliance with corporate standards. Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of information systems auditing. Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience.

Under general direction, involved in the full life cycle of networksecurity management. Responsible for firewall configuration,maintenance, monitoring and other various network securitymeasures. Performs security assessments and reviewsnetworking initiatives for security compliance. Evaluates andrecommends security products for various platforms in thenetworking environment. Educates users about network securitypolicies and consults on security issues. High School Diploma/ GED and five years of relevant professional experience or an Associates degree and three years of relevant professional experience or a Bachelors degree and one year of relevant professional experience.

Under general direction, participates in the development of a research plan. Conducts pre-designed research, working as part of a research team, or performing research related activities. Interacts with other researchers and may collaborate on lab or study techniques. May conduct literature search and research activities independently in labs, fieldwork or program settings under the direction of faculty, senior researchers or a research team leader. In research settings, runs research equipment or protocols, monitors output, or observes subjects. Acquires and performs preliminary analysis of data, technical assistance, as assigned, in the collection, processing, and coordination of data, samples, and/or specimens for a specified research study or group of studies. May assist senior researchers in publication of data. May supervise Research Aides or students. May train researchers in equipment use, study methodology, and data collection techniques. Travels to various sites within a specified geographical area, as appropriate to the objectives of the study. #High school diploma/GED and four years of related experience OR Bachelor¿s degree in a related field.

Under general direction, performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Conducts accurate evaluation of the level of security required. Must be able to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to management. High School Diploma/ GED and five years of relevant professional experience or an Associate’s degree and three years of relevant professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant professional experience.

Under general direction, provides managerial/supervisory oversight to a department. Manages projects focused in different areas such as infrastructure and installation management for all telecommunication networks, application development, implementation, support and/or integration. Participates in collaborative activities and serves as a subject matter expert in the assigned area. Provides technical direction, configuration and/or design leadership, project management, analysis, development and ongoing maintenance and support of projects/systems, and/or repairs. Reviews code generated by the project team to ensure architectural/code standards are included/met. May supervise staff. High School Diploma/ GED and seven years of relevant professional experience or an Associate’s degree and five years of relevant professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant professional experience. One year in a supervisory and/or progressively responsible management role.

Under general direction, provides managerial/supervisory oversight to multiple departments within IT. Responsible for assisting the IT Associate Director and IT Director in providing technical direction, mentoring, customer relations, and project management support. This position operates with a significant degree of autonomy and may work closely with high-level administrators. Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience. Supervisory experience is required.
