Third Thursdays

Third Thursdays is a monthly professional development program offered virtually from noon-1pm on the third Thursday of each month.

Throughout the year, this program covers several topics offered in a series-based learning experience to support deeper skill development over time. Each series spans 3-4 months and focuses on a specific competency or skill. Rather than one-time trainings, each session in the series builds on the last—exploring different aspects of the same topic to reinforce learning and strengthen practical application.

Why this approach?

  • Deeper learning: Breaking a topic into multiple sessions allows participants to develop a more comprehensive understanding.
  • Practical application: Time between sessions provides opportunities for participants to apply their learning and bring back insights or questions.
  • Stronger connections: Engaging with peers over several sessions fosters collaboration and shared learning experiences.
  • Skill development that sticks: Repetition and reinforcement help translate knowledge into lasting capability.
  • Greater flexibility: Participants can attend the series that best fit their schedules, align with their existing knowledge, and match their specific interests or development goals.

Is it virtual or in-person?

All sessions are hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams. When you enroll, you will receive a link for each session within the series.
