The title senior lecturer recognizes a lengthy and distinguished record of exceptional mastery in teaching with substantial impact on the University's educational mission. Normally, consideration for appointment at the rank of senior lecturer will not occur prior to completion of two contract appointments. However, with the Provost's approval, an initial appointment may be made at this rank if the position requires extensive or unusual experience.
