First two Centers of Excellence are open!
The Talent Acquisition Center and The People Support Center recently launched as part of KU's People First HR initiative. These two centers collectively encompass the services and support formerly offered by HRM (Employment and Appointment) and the HR SSC.
Services Provided By The Center of Excellence Teams
Recruitment Team (Talent Acquisition)
• Assist with writing position descriptions
• Facilitate the gathering of information for job postings
• Review of position descriptions and ad copy
• Write and post advertisements
• Submit job posting in the recruitment system
• Generate official offer in recruitment system
• Provide guidance to department at all points in process
• Assist with visa application
• Facilitate the gathering of information for job postings

Onboarding Team (People Support)
• Ensure proper completion of all required new hire documents
• Provide initial orientation to campus benefits and services
• Provide visual verification of I-9 documentation
• Route completed onboarding summary to Appointment Team for keying
• Provide I-9 reverifications
• Provide Tier 1 HR support
• Provide initial orientation to campus benefits and services

Transaction Team (People Support)
• Facilitate appointment changes, such as resignations, supervisor changes, etc.
• Complete and submit Personnel Action Forms (PAF) and RFAs
• Key non-project funding changes
• Submit Additional Pay forms
• Provide Tier 1 HR support
Time & Leave
• Assist supervisors in resolving missed punches
• Escalate T&L issues to HR/Pay team as needed
• Send notifications regarding pending pay calculations
• Run appropriate reporting each pay period and review for missing or unapproved time
• Follow up with employees and supervisors as needed
3G
• Advise departments on departmental sections of 3G form as needed
• Verify and complete HR-related sections of 3G form
