This position serves in the Office of Research for the University. Provides leadership to research community regarding relevant compliance areas and responsible conduct of research. Assists the unit head to ensure compliance policies, programs and procedures reflect changing regulations and emerging best practices. Contributes to strategic planning for compliance program development. Oversees implementation of strategic plan for one or more compliance areas, including policy review and implementation plans, process improvement initiatives, program assessments and audits, development of training and outreach materials, committee and review board development, preparing quantitative and qualitative reports. Analyzes complex and/or sensitive issues in the context of regulations, policies and procedures, and drafts materials such as correspondence or executive summaries to aid in institutional responses. May assist with scholarly misconduct proceedings and other compliance investigations. Represents unit on behalf of unit head when required. Supervises staff and/or students. #Master¿s degree and 3 years of experience in at least one compliance area OR bachelor¿s and 6 years of experience.
