Job Description and Minimum Qualifications:

Provide assistance to investigators for day-to-day administration of sponsored awards. Communicates with investigators and sponsors to resolve complex grant administration problems/issues. Reviews compliance information and prepares/reviews proposals and/or reports to submission for sponsors. Serves as a central-office level resource for staff and others needing pre or post award administration guidance. May act as the primary functional subject matter expert in areas assigned by manager. May assist manager in setting priorities for coordinators and specialists and monitors performance to meet organization and agency deadlines. May supervise grant administration staff. Reviews all budget and matching fund/cost share information for accurate reporting, maintenance, compliance. May conduct or participate in audits for pre and/or post award activities relating to grants/contracts. May represent the manager or department in meetings. May be delegated to sign documents on behalf of the signing authority for agreements and purchases. Assures university and federal standards for proposal and management of sponsored project funds. May act as a mentor and train staff and researchers in grants administration, federal requirements, and university guidelines. Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Uses expertise to interpret regulations, rules, and policies to address complex proposal and award management situations. Resolves complex issues in the proposal, set-up, management, or close out of awards. May supervise staff/students. Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related experience or a high school diploma and five years of related experience.
