Job Description and Minimum Qualifications:

Performs psychometric tasks, such as item and test analysis, model calibrations, equating and scaling, differential item functioning, and standard setting. Uses various psychometric models (e.g., classical test theory, item response theory, diagnostic classification modeling) to analyze large-scale assessment data. Supports test development teams from psychometric perspectives by providing statistical analyses of content and/or feedback. Works with large datasets to conduct analyses in statistical programming and psychometric software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, etc.). Prepares documentation of operational results, technical reports and manuals.
Conducts validity studies with guidance. Proposes detailed research projects and analyses for psychometric approaches. May contribute to portions of proposals for external funding. Presents to external audiences. May supervise other psychometric staff. Ph.D. in educational measurement or related field.
