Coordinates the development, planning, production, and presentation of radio broadcasts for locally and/or nationally produced shows for a specified program area. Oversees programming with public radio listeners and may host broadcasts. Facilitates production by overseeing the acquisition, editing, and production of program materials. May develops and manages the program schedule and supervises the completion of all programming elements. Researches programming needs and audience desires. Collaborates with contacts to deliver relevant programming. Assists in publishing program content for website. As needed works as an on-air radio announcer, reporter/host, and producer. May organize and maintain library and database resources. Engages in community outreach efforts. May supervise staff and/or volunteers. Bachelor¿s degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting or related field. Three years of experience in radio programing or broadcasting.
