Provides supervision of staff that is performing the landscapemaintenance, installation and preparation of campus outdoorspaces. Assist with the implementation of the initiativessurrounding Campus Master Plan, Landscape Master Plan, TreeCampus USA, and the Wayfinding initiatives. Coordinate staff inplanting, pruning, tree trimming, and general maintenance of flowerbeds, shrubberies, trees, lawns and any other green spaces on theUniversity campus. Provides instructions, procedures, plans andtraining for staff in the landscape unit. May operate heavyequipment as needed for land grading. Instructs and trains staff onthe appropriate policies and procedures surrounding the applicationprocedures of chemical treatments for horticultural maintenance.High School diploma or GED equivalency. Five years ofexperience in horticulture or landscape maintenance, landscape design and/or landscape architecture with two years of experience as a supervisor or lead worker. Commercial Pesticide Application and Arborist Certification. May require a valid Class A commercial driver¿s license (CDL).
