Performs routine work that involves repairing, installing andmaintaining pipes that carry water, steam, air or other liquids orgases. Work also involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing orreplacing pipes and systems. Work is performed on remodeling orconstruction projects as well as general maintenance of Universitybuildings. High School diploma or GED equivalency. One year of experience as a steamfitter or in a related field. Associate¿s degree or vocational school certification may be substituted for the required experience.
