Job Title Summary and Minimum Qualifications:
In collaboration with other researchers, leads research and/or participates as a subject matter expert on multiple research projects. May serve as a PI or co-PI. Develops new or novel research applications in their area of specialty. Maintains a special focus on development of outstanding project deliverables. Creates reports and/or contributions to the peer-reviewed published literature. Anticipates and pursues new funding opportunities and develops strategic opportunities in their relevant field consistent with university strategic initiatives. Writes and/or collaborates with other researchers on manuscripts, abstracts and other publications of research findings. May perform research related activates in a laboratory setting. Mentors less experienced staff at all levels. May supervise students and/or staff. A doctorate or highest professional degree (including international equivalents) in the field/area of study AND 10 years of additional postdoc or relevant professional experience are required. In lieu of a doctorate, a combination of a relevant master’s degree plus 15 years of relevant professional experience OR a relevant bachelor’s degree plus 20 years of relevant professional experience may qualify a candidate for consideration.
