Performs repairs, installation, and maintenance of pumps and related equipment. Inspects, diagnoses, rebuilds, and performs repair work on motors, pumps, controls, valves and related equipment. Inspects, maintains and repairs shafts, bearings and belts on various HVAC equipment. Recover, reclaims and charges various HVAC equipment. Installs condensing units and air delivery systems and associated piping. Keeps inventory on critical pumps for HVAC systems across campus. Ensures preventive maintenance is scheduled and completed on equipment critical to system operations. Trains and mentors junior staff to ensure continuity and consistency of maintenance activities on campus. Three years of experience as a mechanic or in a related field. Associate’s degree or vocational school certification may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
