Job Description and Minimum Qualifications:

Directs the Department of Environment, Health & Safety and its respective staff members and student employees, carrying out the operational policies of the University in conjunction with an expanding focus upon issues which affect the health and safety of faculty, staff, and students and the surrounding community, including the environmental impact of programs upon each constituent group. Administers the campus¿ comprehensive environment, health & safety program as responsibilities and authority have been or are assigned.Bachelor¿s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Public Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Health Physics or similar EHS related field and ten (10) years of professional experience in environmental health and safety. Conditions of Employment: Successfully complete a baseline medical evaluation/examination within 90 days of initial employment; successfully complete OSHA/EPA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training within 180 days of initial employment; Successfully complete a security risk assessment conducted by the U.S. Attorney General/FBI in accordance with CDC/USDA Select Agent Regulations within 180 days of initial employment.
