Long Term Care and Lifetime Benefit Programs

Employees in regular positions are eligible to apply for long term care. Each option has different eligibility requirements and additional information can be secured by contacting the companies directly or visiting their websites.

The University of Kansas provides you with two options for Long Term Care:

  • State of Kansas LTC and Lifetime Benefit Programs
  • Teacher & Employees Association LTC Plan

To enroll in one of these plans, please follow the directions provided below based on the plan you select.

State of Kansas LTC and Lifetime Benefit Programs

These voluntary benefit program options are designed to address uninsured long term care costs, which are one of the greatest risks to retirement savings and income today.

For the LTC program, new hires are eligible for simplified underwriting if they apply within 90 days of being benefits-eligible.  New hires that do not apply within their 90 day eligibility period, or any SOK employee who did not apply during the initial enrollment period, may apply at any time but their applications will be fully underwritten.  For more information, please contact ACSIA or visit their webpage.

For the Lifetime Benefit program, new hires are eligible to apply for Guaranteed Issue coverage if they are benefits-eligible and meet the program's eligibility requirements.  For more information please contact ACSIA or visit their webpage.

Please call ACSIA Partners at 1-877-720-2165 and speak with a Long Term Care customer service representative, or you can visit http://www.kansasltc.com. Once you reach the landing page, please click “State of Kansas Employees” gold button for information specific to SOK employees.
