Job Description and Minimum Qualifications:
An entry level untenured professional librarian with a MLS degree from an ALA accredited library school. Does not require library experience but should be well-qualified to practice librarianship. Appointees shall normally remain in this rank for a minimum of 5 years before promotion to associate librarian. Appointees may remain at this rank for a maximum of six years before mandated review for award of tenure and promotion. This faculty rank is equivalent to Assistant professor.
